As part of fulfilling its robust CSR program, ADL donated security materials worth about MK800,000 to Lumbadzi Police Station. The donation is one way of enhancing security for people living within the Kamuzu International Airport catchment area. Receiving the donation, Lumbadzi Police Station General Duties Officer, Superintendent Doreen Sosola said the donation will help officers and community policing forums to operate effectively in providing security. Superintendent Doreen Sosola expressed her gratitude for the much-needed support, emphasizing how vital the security materials are for enhancing the safety of both officers and the community.
“With these resources, our officers and community policing forums will be better equipped to carry out their duties and ensure the well-being of the area residents,” she said.
The collaboration between the Police and ADL highlights the importance of community involvement in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all residents and their property. Presenting the materials, on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer for ADL, Wakisa Mwalilino the Security Officer for ADL says as one way of showing their appreciation for what Lumbadzi Police Station is doing in providing security, ADL management decided to donate. Some of the donated items were; reflector vests, torches, and whistles.
